Have a little to learn of LSX blocks is see...

the LQ4\LM7 that you have now, better heads then the 241's of the LS6.... HOWEVER has a bad cam and intake for how you want to make power.

What trans are you putting behind the FLEXPLATE? GM has a really nice ECM that can control that with a 4L60/4L80/4L85E trans...

Sorry, I should have specified what motor I was running, those two motors are both 5.3's, not the 6.0 LQ4's. Im running the ported 241 heads to drop my compression to be more pump gas friendly with the turbo.

I do have a 6.0 LQ9 motor sitting in a buddies garage that will be getting built into a 408 though but I havent decided if I want the run a set ot ported 317 heads or switch and run the L92 heads with the edelbrock fuel injected intake with the elbow for the thottle body ( what do you think?)

As for a trans, I have a TH400 trans that is being built as we speak.

Why!

Not going to be injected,

what ever a TH400 can do, a 4L60/4L80 can do better.... with better gas millage...

Look in to the stock 243 heads of a LS1 if you want the drop in compression and high flow.

Iron blocks FTW, just be sure to upgrade the rod bolts.

IMO, the LQ4 heads and a LS7 intake would be KILLER.... but it depends on NA or not...

Get on LS1TEC at all?

Its going to be injected, Im running 60 lb siemens injectors with a a1000 fuel pump, as for a harness, Im sending my harness to Speartech to get reworked into a stand alone unit.

Its only going to be a drag car, so mileage isn't a concern, a TH400 doesn't weigh as much as a 4l60/80e trans, so ill save a little weight there.

My ported 241 heads should flow close or even better then the stock 241 heads, or at least I hope they do. The 241 heads also have new valves with the PRC valve springs installed

sounds good, Its not going to be NA though, for this year its running the same turbo that the turbo 5.3 fairmont ran 9.49 in the 1/4 with, here are the specs

Turbine Wheel:
-Exducer Diameter: 2.53"
-Mayor Diameter: 2.91"

Compressor Wheel:
-Exducer Diameter: 2.72"
-Mayor Diameter: 3.58"

Turbine Housing:
-A/R: .96
-Type: Undivided
-Discharge: V-Band
-inlet: T4

Compressor housing:
-A/R: .70
-Air Inlet: 4.00"

But next year Im going to have to run a bigger turbo for the more cubic inches I will be running

Yeah, Im on there, I use the same username, the guys on there have helped me out quite a bit

All I gotta say is...... you need to put enough rubber under that thing for it to lift the front wheels way off the ground..... than give me a ride in it (god damn that would scare somebody at a stoplight.... LOL)
