Nice to here from all you guys ,it's been a while.


Well the engine is mostly apart and well it's a match made in heaven.
PISTON MEET VALVE.


I also got all the stuff to do the 2.3 oil pump conversion ordered today.
See I said it would be fun.

I had that happen to a stock LD9 (cam bolt/pin broke..).... Riped the head off.... none of the valves were bent.... I would cheek them.... may not need valves.

That looks like pretty light contact to me. The engine I blew had marks like that on cylinders 2-4 but none of the valves were bent, or at least not bent enough to look it to the naked eye. Cylinder 1 was a different story though, I can sit the worst valve on its face and the stem will end up point at 10 oclock or 2 oclock depending on your vantage point.

Yeah, it's not bad at all, I don't think there was any damage other then what can be seen.
I found it interesting that it was all the exhust valves on all the pistons, but after thinking about I am sure the factory cams are different from in to out.
And since all of that is getting replaced ,no worries.
