2002 Z24
Saturday, February 02, 2008 9:04 PM
I find my self wanting to get rid of a car that i have alot of time in to.... well two that is.

first one is my 95 Z24, its a solid car, needs a painted frt bumper, and a REALLY good buff job, BUT it has a built W41 motor and HM 282 trans in it. look at the REG for whats done to it.

i would like to see 2K for the 95, as thats what i have in to the damn LG0 alone. ( and thats being REALLY conservative.)

the second one is my 2002 Z-24. there is one little rust hole by the right rear fender, by the door. (all late model cavaliers with sun roofs have this problem i am learing in GM SI.)
it would come with every thing thats in it know. it has 136K on it, but as far as i can tell is in perfect running condition. I meen the damn water pump doesn't show any tracking that its starting to go out.

i would ask 5K OBO for the 02 as it sits, 4K, if i sell the blower and pulley set up off the car.

The bad. it needs a REALLY good buff job. and paint on the bumpers (if you like purpal, i LOVE IT.)

it needs a window regulator, i put a new motor in it, but it binds up.

its a race car. not sound deading at all. runs all right, but so far i have yet to get the time to tune it... i have everything, and cavfan is helping me get it. but it runs and drives.

The 02..

Its quick, has had M-1 in it since i got it. (28K) and M1 15-50 at around 50K i have always used everything GM on this car. down to the PF46\UPF44

the tires have no less than 90* on them. pads and rotors were replaced less than 150 miles ago. i used Performance friction carbon metallic.. nice pads i think.

trans was replaced... has around 50K on it now. it came out of a N body alero (granny car!)

I claim no responsibility for this...... I blame it all on a ass-hat on a Rocket!!!
BoltZ DesignZ wrote:looks like the only J in Team Green soon will be the drag car.

Not true!!!

We have the T/G Drag Car, Dugan's '98 Z24 (in my garage in need of a engine), Jake's (GreenZ) '96 Z24 that my brother and I bought a few months ago, the '01 Z24 I bought, that my wife drives (tempted to get the S/C from Chris for it ), Tom's keeping the Monkey car (just selling his parts)...... and I have Karo's '96 "17PSI" Black cav chilling out at my brother's place as well!!!

Our new DD's might be LS1 cars, but we're still playing with J-bodies!

with out the W41 sure.

maybe i need to get a parts list together, when i rebuilt it the only things that got reused, where the block, crank, cam towers, lifters, and IDI cover,

even the snap ring inside the timing cover that holds the new water pump idler bearing is new GM.

so no, with over 2K in to the motor, i will not take 750.
