Interested in OEM C/F hood GP
Wednesday, May 04, 2005 11:37 AM
I want to see if there is any interest in starting a GP for OEM style Carbon Fibre hoods for the 95-02 Cavaliers and Sunfires.

I would need about 10 for the price to be extremely low.

The carbon fibre could come in quite a few different colors as well, Black, Blue, Green, Orange, Red, Silver, and Yellow.

If there is enough interest, this thing will run for a price in the range of 550-600 shipped to your door. Maybe even less.

listening.... yellow would be great!

any idea what the weight diff is?

and i take it that there is no sunfire OEM CF hood with the eyelids molded in already? Maybe not as that would mean its no longer OEM

I don't think I can get any for the 03+ fires or cavs, but ill see what I can do.

As for pickup, im sure it can be arranged and will save you a few bucks.

The eyelids question was posed on the JCO as well, I will see what I can do about that as well, no promises on that though.

Pictures will be posted soon..

PRICES (Canadian Currency)

- Black Carbon Fibre Hoods = 600$ Tax and Shipping Included.
- Coloured Carbon Fibre Hoods = 720$ Tax and Shipping Included.

AVAILABLE HOODS

- 95-04 Cavalier, YES 04.
- 95-02 Sunfire, sorry, no 03-04 as stated from my supplier.

Eyelids are a no go, unless you want to spend more money, apparently the company who makes these would need to make a mold, etc, and it would cost an arm and leg, sorry about that one.

Apparently Pick up is NOT available either, unfortunately.

A reminder, this group is not officially through me, I am just posting this up for a company called Wicked Rides in Sudbury Ontario. Vince (the shop owner) is the person who will be doing all of the transactions and taking care of everything, I am just here to find out if there is interest, and to take names, etc.

Pictures can be found here (yes, the pictures are of different cars, only 1 cavalier hood shown)

Do we know why pickup isnt available? Is there someone I can talk to about this?
Just because My Parents are in Sudbury, Im only in Sault Ste Marie, so picking it up would be stupid easy for me.

Either way Im still interested. Whats the process we will have to go through

From my understanding, pickup isnt available because the prices have tax and shipping included with them, and its just part of the deal.

How soon is this going to go through

Depends on how many people we get interested.

So far it seems like there is good interest. The only thing that would scare me is, i've never heard of area 501 or seen any of their work.

That is a good point. Have these Sudbury Guys got stuff from them before? Or have they seen any of their work?/
