Hey guys,

I finally got a turbo for my 03' sunfire. I'm kinda weary on wheather I should install it my self so I was wondering if anyone here knows a good turbo shops so I can have it put in. For those of u who are wondering, it's a stock turbo off an'03 SAAB 93-direct bolt on to the 2.2L ecotech.

Thats sweeet, you got the saab turbo and does the manifold fit properly ? Also did u get everything u needed from the saab and pretty much just gonna put it on your sunfire. I thought about doing that but i have no idea were i coudl find the whole turbo set. Do u mind if i ask what parts u got from the saab like a parts list.. Thanks and please update with us to let us know how it went and if everything fits nicely. Thanks Mark.

This is what I got:

Garrett Saab Turbo with Manifold (direct bolt on)
intercooler
BOV
Air / fuel, and boost guage
FMU
All braided lines for oil feed and return
*********************$700 US

I'm going to have race-tech do the install but I'm planning on documenting the entire process with as many pics as possible so I can have something to show here.

my girlfriend thinks i'm crazy cause i went all way down to ohio to pick it up (I live in Toronto). It was purchased off another jbody member who decided to turbo a different car. It's practically new maybe 3000km. I'd post pics but don't have a host as of yet.

***update** I finally went to see Joe @ race-tech.....great guy and he's willing to do the install for me. He tells me that the install can cost anywhere from $1000-$1800 and that includes the tubing for the IC, the hookup and the tuning--already have all the parts. The only downside is that I have to wait until the fall to get it installed which isn't a big deal for me. He seems to really know his stuff and is specialized in Pontiac's. So.....is it a good deal or should I be looking elsewhere.

.....btw have any of u guys seen his crazy conversion with that 92' Cav with the 3.8L turbo engine, I gotta say I almost fainted when I saw it-truly a piece of art.

^^ which conversion are u talking about? are u sure its turbo charged, because usally when ppl do the 3.8 L swap its the S/C and a few ppl have that now such as Raven.
Nice set up btw are u 100% sure that turbo will bolt on with no major changes?

It's that green cavalier with the big brakes and rims....no body kit. And yes it's TURBO charged not super that's what made it so @!#$ cool. He said he's expecting around 500hp+ but it hasn't been dyno'd yet. As far as my setup goes it should bolt on with no problem...
