I call shenanigans on your definition of "mint". And are those the RSA's they came with??

I wouldn't expect anyone to pay more than $400 for them.

How are those not mint?

If you're not interested in the rims, then don't post in the thread. It's a simple concept .

If all you're here for is to try and hawk your gear, don't come to these forums.

I'm watching out for the members while you're trying to make a quick buck. Ask yourself who you think is more welcome?

If someone wants to pay your ripoff price when they can buy the much nicer 03+ chrome Z24 wheels off a member right here for the exact same price with nearly new tires, then good for you!

I think they at least have a right to now what the actual market value is though.

Here is a set for $300. Not sure if they come with tires, but seeing as yours seem to have tires on them that are at least 5 years old and you don't want to clarify that fact, I suspect it's irrelevant.

Mint my arse!

You can tell by the pics that they aren't mint.
Go try and rip off people at another forum, because it won't happen here, at least not now.

ps. I wouldn't try to tell Wild Weasal not to post in the thread. He's pretty much "THE" moderator around here and can do whatever he pleases, including delete this scam artist type thread.

What's so wrong with selling a set of rims? I mean really, how am I ripping anyone off? If they don't want them for that price, or don't want to make me an offer, that's their choice. No need to try and make me look like Hitler or something for trying to sell some rims I won't be needing anymore.

I chose to advertise these on this forum because they're meant for j-body's. It makes sense doesn't it? I've been a member of v6z24.com since I've had my car, and chose to post there more often because there was either more relevant postings to my car, or the information/discussions on here had already been discussed there.

I thought this was all about cars, so what's the big deal?

Well that's exactly what I said! I'm just helping people know what they're really worth. Then if they still want them, of course they'll still buy them.

But you said not to post unless I'm interested in buying. I'm assuming you don't want anyone pointing out that you're asking a ridiculous amount for them. In my eyes... that would be trying to rip people off.

Nobody made you look like Hitler. I was just pointing out that you seem to be misrepresenting the wheels and making sure people are cautious. If you don't like that, you can go try and sell them elsewhere. You're not doing anyone any favours trying to pawn off old wheels for that kind of money.

Now on that note, I've got some clear HVAC knobs that I'll sell, only to you, for the bargain price of $150 and if anyone so much as hints at that being a little steep, I'll ban them for a month!

Can we keep the the foucs of this thread? Am I asking too much for that (and I'm not talking about the price of the wheels)?

i think that price for stock z24 wheels is too much. I sold my Z24 wheels with 30% tread left for $200 for all 4.

I told you so. Don't say I didn't try and warn you that your asking price is over 50% too high.

Why are there for sale ads here anyway, isn't that the whole idea of the Classifieds?

^^^^

for me personally... living in this region, it is very convenient to find deals close to home. I like the fact that Wild Weasel lets these slide... not this one in particular, but he can ask whatever he wants for what he owns. People should generally think before they act. If someone is careless enough to not search around, well... like the saying goes, "there is a sucker born every minute...."

I agree i dont mind some FS: or Wanted ads in this forum because its true, its nice to not have to search through all the american stuff..

but I think its important for all of us to watch out for eachother as a comunity.. If i dont know about tread ware... or how much stock wheels cost.. i would appreciate someone who does know to help... i understand people over price their stuff in order to negotiate.. but there is a limit to how much to over charge..

i think thats terrible... we shouldnt let people get sucker'd into buying stuff for way to much.. its not fair to them... and i wouldnt like it if it was me.. we should look out for ourselves and others... why allow people to rip other people off... especialy when they lie and say MINT when its not... its only fair people point out they are not before someone wastes their time and money on trash!

Although I understand your point, he posted actual pictures of the rims.... He doesn't seem to be intentionally trying to rip people off in my opinion. So if someone still thinks they are mint, let them buy it. They don't look mint to me, but obviously the seller believes them to be, and if someone feels the same, they can go ahead and buy. All I am saying is that any and all items are worth only as much as one is willing to pay for them. Makes sense from a business stand point.... who knows, maybe the pope had these on his ride before...

Bump back to topic...
