Hey, i posted this in wheel & tire, but didnt get the response i wanted (i sorta did, but i though i would get more exposure here, and the sooner i make my mind, the sooner they will be on the car!!!!)

i thank you in advance for your opionions and comments!!!

HERES THE POST:

Alright, first off i am in Canada and looking to buy rims/tires within Canada

I have narrowed it down, but would like some feedback, REMINDER the amount is in Canadian Dollars, so for the Americans you'll have to convert the funds to US dollars.

(4) Hankook - Ventus H405 225/40R18
(4) Icon - W62 Hyper Silver 18 x 7

TOTAL including taxes, shipping, mounting, balancing and hardware:
C$ 1,515.04

IS this a good deal? Any thoughts on the tire choice? or wheels?

Thanks, GRAHAM

I have not heard anything on those tires or rims but 18's with rubber for $1500 seems like a good deal to me.

be sure to post up some pics when you get them.

The H405 (also known as HRII) is a decent tire from Hankook, but it's only H-rated. It won't grip like a K102 or K104 (both Z-rated), but it'll last longer. Personally I'd go with the Z-rated rubber, for the grip advantage.

Hankook makes good quality tires, and their pricing is great. I think that's a great deal for 18" rims and rubber. Check for a price on a Z-rated Hankook tire and compare.
