i was thinkin of getting a colbalt SS but now that they are out im not sure that i like them and 205hp really isnt alot of power for the amount of money you spend on the car. Like my dad said i can just turbo my cavy and push alot more power than that. so what do you guys think?

is it really worth the money
also have you seen the G6 ? i think its just pontaics verison of the cobalt. but with less power (it comes stock with 201hp)

I think the Cobalt SS is a nice car, but I'm still not so sure it's worth the $21,000+ for it.

However, if you do decide to purchase one, let me know! I like your car. You planning on selling it?

Seems to be a decision that a lot of people are facing.

You have to put everything into perspective. For that $21K, you are getting a much nicer car than a J could ever dream of being.

Hugely better chassis, much better handling, incomparably better interior, better looking (IMO), better quality both inside and out, and nice amount of power with a factory warranty. Take a test drive in one, and I'm sure you won't want to go back to the Cavy

As for the 205HP - thats the official rating, but most SS S/C's have been putting down between 200-210HP at the wheels. Which of course means its underrated, and also explains its times of 0-60 in 6.1 and a 1/4 mile time of 14.5. Impressive numbers for a stock $21K vehicle, and of course it will only get better with mods

Go check one out in person, and let us know what you think. I'm sure at the very least you will be impressed

i think i will test it out..... as far as selling it, (my car) i Really dont know, i mean i have over 20,000 in the car and if i sold it i would want more than........ lets just say 5000. so are you interested in buying it or something. I guess i could let it go for about 8000 but if the person that bought it wanted the rims and tv's and system i could take no less than 10,000 just because the head unit was 2000 by its self and the the subs and other speakers and amp ran about 2500 all together. also my paint job is a true lambo yellow which ran about 4500 alone. which is kindof cheap because Im friends with a guy that owns a paint shop and he gave me a deal...

Exactly. Then you can always get some nice deals on the older SS models when the new ones are out since they're trying to get rid of them!
