Parting out the Cav
Tuesday, December 20, 2005 6:34 AM
Hey guys. Just wanted to let you all know that my 1996/97/00/02 mutt cavalier is getting parted out entirely. If there is anything you need, hit me up on here, on AIM (VdazedV), or in e-mail (thomas_1_@yahoo.com). I will complile a list of everything I can think of off the top of my head and some reasonable prices when I get off work.

I need the car to be moveable for a little while though, so I can't let any major parts go just yet unless you have a suitable replacement (i.e. induction dynamics intake trade for $ and stock airbox.). The tranny may be gone already, as are possibly the rims. Everything else is pretty much fair game for now.

If there is anything you need, let me know. I don't want to ship anything really large because, well because I'm a lazy ass and don't want to have to find a box for it!

I'm going to try to find the most recent pictures for you guys. Maybe I can con someone into taking some pics for me since my camera decided it wanted to stay in Cancun when I went in July.

97 cluster: $10
no factory power... I threw in a Spal window kit and Autolock solenoids when I shaved the handles (solenoids are not for sale, the'll be going on the other cav )

A little more info would probable be helpful:

The car is technically a 1996 Cavalier with no options. I did a 2000 headlight conversion, and swapped the interior and bumpers from a 2002 LS Sport. The engine is out of a 1997 2.2L (threw a rod in the original '96 engine).

When the time comes, I'm interested in the trunklid.. You can add in a little box labor to the price as long as it's still reasonable ....and it's still in good condition.

I'll have a better idea, when I see the list. I'll probably take off some interior parts off your hand.

i'm call dibs on the cluster, and if you have the front bottom lip for that LS, i'll take that too off of your hand.

doubtfull but probably don't have a dimmer panel with fog light switch, do you?

get the list together and i'll see what else i want

I may keep the trunk lid for the other car... I'll let you know when the time comes to let the wrecker haul the car away

Cluster is yours, but again, I need that until the car can get hauled away. The car doesn't move without the cluster until you fred flinstone the bitch. No dimmer panel w/fog switch either... sorry, cheap ass chevy didn't give me one

I was hoping to sell the bumper with the lip (actually sell the whole kit in one), but I'll think about it.

See above... also, unless you will be in the area, we will have to see what we can work out... I really don't want to deal with shipping anything large.

I'll be working late tonight most likely, so look for a list when you get online tomorrow.

and actually, yes, you can drive the car without the cluster, you just can't tell how fast youre going, and how much gas is left........ and besides all he other info.... and that is it............
so it will drive.................

Hey guys. I'm working on the list on my breaks at work. It's fairly complete, but I want to make sure I have everything I can imagine to be asked, and I want to make sure that I have things fairy priced.

Also, I found out my new car won't be here until around new years, so I can't start taking much off just yet. The good part about this is that I can get pictures, prices, and answer any questions before I start tearing into it.

I have a passenger side clear corner that still okay....i think the drivers side is broke though. I don't have 00 headlights anymore since I converted to the older style.

We send out stuff by UPS here at work, so I'll find out tomorrow how much shipping will be and send them to you.........Merry Christmas!

Im trying to rebuild my front end. My bumper is busted and the headlight brackets, fenders and fender linings are toast. The washer fluid motor is not a necessity at the moment. The motor mount I want though.
