torres you can bring the car down whenever. i can put it on the side of the house till we do the swap. at least it would be out of jhands yard lol. maybe jhands dad will be nice and allow use of that nice truck and trailer amd bring it down.

Yes. Could have bent valves.
A bad water pump will not cause the water and oil to mix.

The gear is, but the pump is not. The gear attaches to the pump. So no it is not possible for the water pump to leak into the housing.
As for replacing the timing chain, well I have never seen one that needed to be replaced. Chains are pretty durable, but always inspect them and it something is wrong then yes replace it.

sounds like you should just build a motor instead of throwing another stock one back in since you wanna boost right out the gate.........

yup fully aware of that but now is the time to build the motor or aka order the right parts so...... he can boost it right out the gate with no issues
