Evan is right, not right now, I need a car now ill worry about building a motor when I have my car running.

I have been staying in someone elses home for going on 3 months when I have my own home, I need something to take me back and forth from work to home and dont have money to drop on another DD, the cavalier now is my DD, its not meant to be a race car.

Nothing wrong with boosting a stock LD9. They can take plenty. That is if it is done right and properly tuned. Running around with boost on a untuned motor will kill one fast!

very true and i dont doubt that you can but since you will already have the motor out of the car.....now would be the time to do things like the 2.3 oil pump conversion and stuff

but its all good.....did you find a motor yet torres ???

if you decided to go back to NA, at least for the time being, lemme know.. I still have stock manifolds

John, how much boost can you run on a stock LD9? I heard they can't handle boost for piss without building the bottom end.. nothing more than 6 or 7psi at most

I have tuned a bone stock LD9 to 15psi, and it held great! I have known of some that have had 17psi as well.

6-7psi Ev an? Really? I'm doing more than that with my charger.

That is what you call walking away? You beat me no doubt, but I was at your rear tire. Now you did walk away from the civic, hell I walked away from the civic, and he knew it when he pulled up next to me afterwards.

I heard about the Z vs. Skittle race.. I'm disappointed

thats just what I heard, John... about 3 or 4 yrs ago. 15psi is pretty f*cking impressive to me on a stock LD9

Yeah how so? My car made 208 at the wheels. His car makes more stock, and with his mods per him should be close to 350whp, so for me to first pull him and then him to pull and put me top his rear tire I think is pretty damn good!

Can't win them all.

Oh I see. We are talking what if's. If I was not low on my meth mix it could have been different. If my tune was up to date (working on that now actually) it could have been different.

If we started from a stop or even 1 gear I think I would have pulled out further from the start making it harder for you to reel in.

Sorry what if's is bull@!#$! More so coming from the person who won.

are you srsly arguing with me? I told you this after we raced also and it seemed all fine. End of 1st, all of 2nd and 3rd are my beast gears common now. My turbo is no bigger then a soda can dude. You know this and im sure everyone else knows this. I told you and mike the story of the big turbo sti i raced on I4 I had him until I hit 4th gear cuz after 4th i can make @!#$ for power and thats when his boost kicks in..

350? are you @!#$ting me?

I have a intake, spring mod (13-15) psi, downpipe and motor mounts? and that makes my car stock go from 230whp to 350whp?
SWEET BABY JESUS

your my boy BLU but no were in hell do i have even close to your said "350" ( think if i had 350 i would of left ur ass in the dust.)

Im ny arguing with you or nothing I was just stating the fact man. WE all know the fact.

Casper first I will say sorry. I mis-read this post by you
Quote:

its only 6. away from a 50. trim son! plan on making 400-450 to the wheels. Just bolt on ill have 350+ and then once i can tune it with ither dps or sct or even ems i can get 400-500 outta it I hope lol

I now realize you meant by bolting on the turbo you would get 350 at the wheels.

None the less small turbo or what, you are running more boost than me, and I'm also on a small supercharger, but I'm not throwing excuses out, and I would not if I had won. I asked you to run me for fun and to gauge my car. You beat me fauir and sqaure. It was a fun couple runs.

when I said disappointment, I meant that in the fact that I expected the Skittle to be farther ahead. I've heard of ppl making exceptional power without much modification.. like the DSM cars

welll i got the motor to run. i put a little bit of fuel into the intake and it fired right up. so it might also have a fuel pump issue. engine ran and you could see coolant coming out the bottom where i assume the water pump is. any suggestions john?
