I'm wondering if anyone around the area is looking to get a dog. I have a black lab that is about 2 years old. male, neutered.
I got him for my son for his b-day last may from the animal shelter. In August we moved out of my grandma's house and couldn't take the dog, so he stayed with her. As everyone should know labs are very active dogs, and she's just getting to old to handle him, the dog literally just drags her around. They also just built a gym behind her house and the dog barks at all the people since they're strangers. He loves to be outside, and loves attention.
We paid $145 for him, and I really hate to take him back to the shelter since he is a great dog and it worries me that no one else may choose him, so I figured I'd see if anyone on here was looking for a dog or knew someone who was. A good way to get a great pet for free. I'll also include everything we have for him, all his collars, leashes, shampoo, brushes and anything else I can find.
I hate to have to get rid of him, but I have no other choice since I can't have him at my place, and I can't find anyone who's looking. So please someone save this doggie from me having to take him back to the shelter.

I wish I could take it, but we have two Black Labs already in a small house with a baby. One is 2 yrs and the other is 10 yrs. They are great dogs. Ours would never harm our little girl. She even plays with them and rough-houses with them. She likes to jump on the older one when shes trying to sleep.
I'm telling you guys, these dogs are the best. Please someone care for this pup.

oh well good luck on finding a good home for it i got my own english black lab to deal with...... fricken dog eats like a daym horse....but thats my fault.... i wanted the big one in the litter............... other then that hes a great dog.... would never heart a fly... he even curls up next to my 6mnth old nephew and sleeps with him

I wish I could find a new owner easily. Seems anyone who does want a lab wants a yellow one. Even I did when I was looking for a dog, but I found him an fell in love. he's a good dog, takes any abuse little kids may hand out. My 2y/o sits on him all the time an he's never snapped at him once.
I just don't have the time for him, with 2 kids and a tiny house. And my grandma's 65 and just don't have the energy to deal with such an active dog anymore.

anyone please? no one knows someone? I had got her to keep him this long, but i think she just resorted into letting the dog get out because the animal shelter called saying he was there.
I'm gonna most likely end up going an getting him an bringing him to my house, even though I don't have the room or a yard for him.
