Are on the rise in and around the Toledo OH area especailly in store parking lots. Mine as well as a few others that live n my apartment complex had their plates stolen last fall. Yesterday I was at the Meijers on Central ave. and over heard some workers talking about theirs getting ripped off in the parking lot within the past couple of days. Since replacing the plates and tags has gone up to the same cost as renewing your registration in Ohio I'd recommend either buying a Liscense plate cover or using special headed bolts like Triangle or Square slotted or Tstar bolts/screws.
who steals plates? seriously? thats f'd up. they dont do anybody any good who doesnt own the car they're registered to.
People who steal cars use them. It's harder for them to get caught when cops are looking for the wrong vehicle.
