david, sorry i missed your question. they dont have to be the same ones, they just need to have the same channels. thats why i suggested getting one with more than just 3 channels. so that if we want to use channel 10 or one higher up you're not screwed because you're goes up to 3, lol. any standard 22 channel 2-way would be good. maybe get one with a 5 mile range instead of 1 or 2 in case the caravan gets broken up a bit.

Lol, thats cool Adam. I guess we can talk about it more when the time comes closer. But yeah, ill definately get one.

That site has the 3 main hotels plus others, so hopefully one will have an opening. I'll be staying at Super 8...but unless there's been cancellations (very likely) its full

here's what I'm thinking guys...

The bash starts friday, and if we leave columbus or dayton noonish...we're going to miss a lof it.

Now, the bash is something I have done the last 3 years, if there's anything I've learned, its 2 things.
1)caravans are the best parts, and are tons of fun
2)The fun starts the night before

So...if we were to move to a thursday leave date....who all would be out?

I just don't want to miss anything, and typically I arrive a the day before, as well as probably 70% of the others. What's everyone's thoughts on this?

Well Id like to leave on Friday early.. I think that was the plan for us CO peeps from the start.. Not sure though.

I am going to be there by Thursday atleast. Maybe even sooner how soon i don't know.

I have 2 weeks off and I am thinking of going out to STL for 4th of July. Leave STL for Indy woot I wan't to have fun. more and more I am thinking of camping and not staying in a hotel.

I'd be out if it moved to thursday....got classes on thursdays....the prof always gives quizzes on thursdays. Sorry can't get out of this one. I'm gonna have to leave friday...and since i'm not racing I won't have a problem with it.

Most of the people posting would be out... be it school, work, kids, etc...

Check in time for the Super 8 is 3 oclock (or sooner, Indiana time). Since these things normally run late, I'd say we would have to plan to leave the Dayton stop by 2 oclock Ohio time... That makes the Columbus stop roughly 12:30 Ohio time... I dont know if any of the WV guys want to join up in Columbus or not, but I figured this would be a good way to get the plan started... Post up if this sounds decent or if you have suggestions (people planning on joining this caravan only, please)...

So Columbus stop will be between 12 and 12:30, then Dayton will be between 1:30 and 2. Since we are an hour ahead of Indy time, that'll have us getting there just after 2 or so...
