GM-Revolution
Tuesday, September 13, 2005 1:25 PM
We are starting a new club called GM-Revolution. J-Revolution is pretty much dead due to certain things that will not be in this club. The club will consist of people who enjoy there car and like to hang out and go to the track and to shows.
Right now we are pretty much all Cavaliers and Sunfires.. We are thinking of adding Colbots, Ions, and all other jbodys.
The club is located in Hampton Roads area.
Right now we have to deside what type of cars will be in it and what the finished Sig will look like. Should it say Sport Compact in it?
[IMG][/IMG]

Anyone is welcome to come meet up with us. Well try to meet every week, however that depends on who has what going on.

Feel free to say whats up
Jason

glad you all could make it out to the garagemahall. as for the cav, we got the crank off and the leak to go away. i think there is another small leak somewhere, probably from the turbo or some other line that needs to be tightened. the car finally has moved under its own power tonight. if it doesnt rain on friday (which it probably will due to the hurricane) i will be at it again. Jason, this time it will be little things and you could probably help out no problem (mainly electrical hook ups). later on.

Anyhow I am pretty much free Saturday. (Finally) I've been in the shadows dealing with school and work and bunch of other extra crap. Anyway, Zack Congrats on getting the cav running. Can't wait to see what it can do. Reason being....well let's just say you won't be the only one by november. . If anyone is doing anything saturday or Friday after 9 pm I'm game.

I'm free all day Sunday if anyone wants to chill....actually if i can get someone that knows how to hook up car alarms that would be GREAT. I got a new Viper Alarm 500-600$ Retail. I REALLY want it hooked up by sunday evening...HINT HINT! so anyone with prior experience PLEASE PLEASE volunteer to help me!!!! i hate wiring. I might be able to do it in yorktown at Auto Haus (German Mercedes/BMW dealership) where i do some side work. but if you know ANYTHING about alarms (remote start manual/wiring) please come help. it would be GREATLY appreciated!

....god i hate ebay, and so does my empty bank account!
Hey jason I won the instrument cluster^^^ last night with 12 seconds to go! so i finally have a tach, and im updating my gauges as soon as i have enough cash.

Marvin (battlecat) whats up with the rims man. I stored them in my dads garage thinkin you were gonna get em by now....not tryin to rush or anything like that, just need an update with a estimate on when youll be by to purchase/pick them up. i withdrew all my posts on the net that were advertising the sale. and two guys that were gonna buy them i told no cuz you had dibs...they both were gonna drop 700 on me.....but the deal we got is still on.

to everyone else WHATS UP!?!?!?!?!?!

Yea i'd help.. but im not that confident on alarms... ive only watched em get put in, and studied it when i got my MECP Silver. But i dont trust myself cause ive never physically done one. but if you end up doing it yourself, find someone with an Alldata account that will let you print wiring schematics of your car. and for the manual clutch bypass, i suggest you obtain a clutch bypass relay and not default your physical clutch bypass (by defaulting, i mean bypassing so you can physically start your car without the clutch depressed)

but hey Will hit me up... i need to make you an @j-body.tk email addy --- im working on the "Contact Staff" page right now. http://www.j-body.tk/contact/

Im also free all day sunday. So gimmie a call or hit me up online (im like usually always on AIM just invis)

On an additional note. Will and I were talking about remaking him J Rev decals over at the shop. And that fell apart when we moved over to Dialdin. Well we finally got our vinyl plotter set back up, and i should be installing vinyl master and sign wizard really soon on our new set up. So i should be able to get team decals cheaper than most other sources... im going to ask to see what rates i can get... but im definately going to be able to get the hook up... considering i hooked up the plotter and taught everyone how to use it =P. (For those of you who have been to Dialdin and know that Affordable Signs and Graphics (moreover Bear Graphics)) is located within, im not refering to him. We have the plotter from The Import Shop / Xtreme Imports and are using it independantly from Bear)

Later all

hey jason, C O B A L T.

any ways, what about that idea i had with the GM-R and sport compact is in the bottom of each letter? it might not look right but see if you can pull it off.

as for the alarm? Any takers? Kyle, i have someone with an alldata account....at auto haus.

i dont know if i can get them to help me on sunday though...i can still get the wiring diagrams....its just that they physically wont be there to help install. so i need someone to help. no one can ever get in touch with chris, and last time he said he'd help me hook up my sound system, he couldnt for one reason or another.

so i NEED HELP. (unless anyone can GIVE me 150$ to get it installed)

Re: New sticker ideas

dont forget there are other saturns out there that are not ions that are still pretty fast. i think that subjecting the title to cars specific (ie cavalier sunfires ions and cobalts) is limiting the posibilities. as for the decals/logo, is it me or are they a little soft (as in fuzzy)? I like the first one if you make "gm" as tall as the "r". I'm going to try and work on the car friday, but i do not know for sure, if my clamps come in, im going to try and get that turbo to spool

btw, im all over the oil change kyle.

Im still out and about... ive been gettin a bit busier lately.

With gas prices i drive a little bit less... i try to get at least a week to a tank... i just cleaned my filter, and this weekend im going to take my throttle body apart and clean it all out and then next week imma do a Fuel System Cleaning (Wynns products) which should put me back up to 330 - 350 miles per tank... im sitting at about 250 - 280 right now

Im still at TCC but im in night classes this term, mostly...

Hey Jason, when you make the final decision on the graphic, if you want i can host in on the j-body.tk server so you dont have to worry about photobuckets bandwidth restrictions. and i'll be an easier link to remember, something like http://www.j-body.tk/gmrev/logo.jpg or something along those lines.

Hey on sunday i'll take a look... if the installation instructions are straight forward, i may be able to do it... at least the alarm/keyless portion. im not sure about the remote start because its a 5 speed.

But if i do it, since i'm doing it for free ... you need to get butt connectors (red and blue)... and 3 relays... all of which you can get at radio shack. (make sure your alarm didnt already come with relays ... most don't though)... and i'll need those all data schmatics...

The best choice of action is let me look, and if i think i can do it... we'll run to the nearest radio shack... i dont see you spending more than 10 bucks there... and if i do it but cant do the remote start... i'll leave those wires easily accessible for someone else to... while an alarm has one brain, each componet (alarm, keyless, remote, every other channel (such as my door poppers)) is seperate

---------

Now on to decals.... i'm a lazy ass so im going to repost an IM Conversation.

IMCensored1: well heres the deal on decals... im still loading vinyl software but i got it to plot tonight for the first time in 4 months... so its a really good start...
IMCensored1: The shop is hiring me part time to plot decals... which means **I** get to set prices... (i do have do have to pull profit in to the shop) so i can get team decals made in bulk really cheap...
Black96Cavy: ah
IMCensored1: Jeff told me that he and i would talk about a price for the team when we get everything going...
IMCensored1: which shouldnt be too much longer... unforuntantly i cant work again after tomorrow night till tuesday night cause they're all goin to atlanta
Black96Cavy: nopi
IMCensored1: ya

Let me know if you all want to go this route... i can import and vectorize anything.... however its a lot eazier of the graphic is designed in the plotting software... because then its already vectorized and smooth corners as opposed to having to fix rough edges...

later all

I like the 2nd and the 4th design.
As for the meet I would say
SAT would be best somewhere
near newport news or hampton.
That sound good to everyone else.
I think at the meet we will have casper
make a contact list just so we can get
ahold of each other and whatnot

Yea Mark come up with some other designs.
As for where we are meeting. I was thinking of the mall off Mercury. Its right off the 64 fwy. Then as for the next time we meet i was thinking of Lynnheaven mall. That way everyone can be happy (pretty much).

So what time are you guys thinking of?? Maybe 4-6??? sound good??

O yea the new front lip looks freaken great.

come on now, im a south side boy thats works on the penn. so i guess im just about everywhere. i dont think i will be working on the car tomorrow (the parts i wanted to get in wont be in until tomorrow and im not driving from the penn to the ss then back to the penn). So i think i might try and get out there sometime on saturday. anyways, i still have the old contact list if anyone wants to work off of that for now.
