FS: Let's try this again, 03 Cavalier (Saab Turbo)
Friday, August 17, 2012 5:51 AM
2003 Chevy Cavalier LSS
77,xxx miles
Went through and did a ton of work on it last winter during the transmission replacement
Engine:
5 Speed Manual, changed with B&M Trickshift Synthetic yearly
Replaced transmission at 65,000 miles due to bad second gear syncro
New Pressure Plate/Slave Cylinder
ARP Flywheel Bolts
ACT 6 Puck Clutch (typical 6 puck chatter if starting out too low in a gear)
Saab Turbo Setup w/Intercooler
Heat wrapped Downpipe
Full 2.5” Exhaust with 28” Resonator and Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler
GM Reflash
RK Sport Lower Motor Mount
RK Sport Upper Motor Mount
Poly Transmission Mounts
Poly Sway Bar Endlinks
Poly Control Arm Bushings
New Ball Joints
New Outer Tie Rod Ends
New O2 Sensor
Powder Coated Valve Cover
Suspension/Wheel:
New tires, less than 1000 miles on them. General G-MAX
Koni Reds with Ground Control Coilovers
Rear Sway Bar
Interior:
B&M Short Throw Shifter
Triple Gauge Pod
-Voltage
-Oil Pressure
-Boost
Panasonic 7” Touchscreen Radio
Pioneer Amp/ Sub Setup
Pioneer Speakers all around
Sunfire Gauge Cluster

The Bad:
Needs new front strut mounts if the noise bothers you
Window motors in front are dead, but I am replacing them this weekend (regulators and motors)
Exterior isn’t perfect, but it isn’t a new car. Spent a lot of its life on the highway, so stone chips on hood. Ding on the rear door, barely noticeable unless you are looking for it.
Some spiders in the paint on front bumper, previous owner smacked a deer, but barely noticeable. Hood was replaced along with passenger fender.
Scratch on roof, been there since I bought it, never got time to get to it.
Flake of paint fell off on rear bumper, lowest part on bumper, maybe a 1”x2” area.
Exhaust rubs on rear trailing arm a little, but I’ve always used heat wrap or something durable to stop it.
Needs a new radio mount, mounting tabs broke on old one, and like usual, don’t have the time to get to it.
Oil Pressure gauge needs to be hooked up, all the wiring is run, just need plumbing and sending unit.
Downpipe vibrates against subframe, pretty common for the brandonsons downpipe.
Just small problems, but I like my things to be perfect.

I’m willing to go over the car with anyone with questions. I can get more pictures of certain things if anyone is interested. I am not willing to let someone come see the car just to BS and get a free joyride. I just don’t have the time or money to keep up with it anymore. I am going to kick myself in the ass for selling it, because of how much time/money I have put into it.
KBB is upwards of $5,500, but I will let it go for $4,600.

Took it on an 800+ Mile road trip last weekend and never had a single issue.

Replaced window motors, both working fast and great.
I'd like to get rid of this car to pay off some loans or make a dent in some student loans at least.

Any possibility of part out in the future?

If I didn't have to teach the wife to drive a stick (no pun intended ), I could use a 4 door sport.....

No time for a part out, I don't have the time to tear it down and put stock parts back on it.

And I won't lie, this clutch setup isn't the easiest to drive and I've been driving sick for at least 7 years now.

Nah, had some tire kickers and that's it.

Been taking full advantage of enjoying it before the weather gets cold.

Sorry to hear about the Honda lol

Anyways, I can provide detailed pictures if needed. I looked over the body some more, had the car so long I look past the flaws, the clear coat on the door protector pieces ( the part which most people remove, debadge) is starting to go, leaving the top 1/4 with no clear. I wanted to remove those, but I get leery about the paint under them.
Anything you want to know just ask, I won't be offended.

You are more than welcome to check it out.

If I keep it I think I'm going to throw a stock clutch back into it, the 6 puck isn't fun driving in the city.

I haven't gotten any emails lately unless they went to spam, my gmail account has been known to do that I apologize.

I'm at least a 5 hour drive from Akron, Ohio, that's taking the toll road up to 69 North.

I really am on the fence about selling it, one of those situations where i'm going to regret it.

So is it for sale or not? I'm buying a cavalier soon, and would like to know my options. This is a bit out of my budget, but I think I could stretch it.

Yeah, money talks pretty much. Going to have to let it go at some point.

Putting the car in storage is 3 weeks, so if you want to see it, do it soon.
I'd like to sell it this month, but getting nothing but a bunch of tire kickers like normal.

Last call before the car goes into storage..
Rather see it out and about before the snow hits, than to be sitting in the garage like it has been,
$4500 takes it

I have a few people interested at the moment, had a local guy put deposit down and waiting to see if he gets approved on the loan. I will let you know otherwise.
