Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. The blue 2000 Z is not for sale, it's decided to fix it. It is in my driveway with a new 2.4 in the garage waiting to be put in.

I have an 00 Z24 that has a 2.4L engine that is starting to knock.
I have been trying to find a new engine for it, but not having much luck.
I just joined the forum here looking for some options for what I can do.
Body is in pretty good shape, front of the hood is starting to get some pits in it and there is some rust starting just behind the rear wheelhouse, but aside from that it is all there.
No wrecks and a clean title.
If you are interested, I would want it to go to someone who could use it instead of taking it to the scrapyard.
I see you live in Indiana Kevin. The problem with that usually is that its pretty expensive to tow or ship the car to me, and that fact i cant inspect it personally. It would require you to sell me the car at a very low price.

Still true, sadly many of the cars i have seen either are rusted out, or look to be in good condition but then when i come see them lots of rust.

Seriously, good luck finding a 8-11 year old 2.4 Cavalier/ Sunfire that does not have rust on the bottom of the doors.

There is a black 00+ vert at an independent dealership near Trenton OH that I've stopped in to check out -- spun #3 I think. Needs paint on the body kit, and it's got some SS knockoff hood. Not perfect by any stretch but you can probably get it cheap. It's got $1000 listed on it, but I think they've had it for a LONG time.

If you care, I can see if my father in law will stop by to get their phone # for ya. Automatic, some attempted custom work in the interior (painted pieces) and no radio.
I'd offer ~500 or so and not be surprised you get it. Body looks decent, I'm over there every so often so if you would like me to take a closer look for you I can.

Ben, how much you looking to spend on it? There's a kid at work that has an 02, 2.4 5spd that is having a kid or something and wants to get a 4dr car. He was talking about selling his for I think he said 2300. The car still runs good though, and looks to be in pretty decent shape. If that's something you're interested in, I can check and see if he's still got the car.
