body kt questions for PA ppl!!!
Sunday, March 20, 2005 6:02 PM
ok here is my dilema, as stated above: i am gonna be buying the drifter series body kit for my 99' fire.... my question is with my lights. i know in the rear bumper there are marker lights do i need them in my new bumper or is it ok not to have them (legal) also the front bumper seems to post a prob with the the turn signals i was thinkin that maybe a set of turn signals in the grill of body kit and set of marker/turn signals on the fenders....

an help would be greatly appreciated.

get a set of honda accord bumper lights for turn signals, they fit perfectly in those outer openings.

You should be fine you could do what you wanted to do or use meck's Ideal. I had to add turnsignals and driving lights to the front of my car for inspection. But didn't help i didn't have any lights left for the front bumper.

According to PA code you must have them since they are factory equipped lighting.

Now if your Mechanic lets it slide its a different story and no one will beable to answer that but you once you go for inspection.

if they are just reflector pieces you might not have any problems. Mine didn't have any lights on the rear bumper just on the front bumper. I had to install turn signals and driving lights on the front of mine in order for them not to have a @!#$ fit!

The long skinny ones, they usually have them in the apc section at advance auto parts

I got mine inspected and it passed to be honest with you I was more worried about emmissions............
I don't know about that it really depends on if they really wanna be a$$holes about it or not becuz I only have my Clear Fog Lights mounted with the Amber turnsignal bulbs in them and I only have my taillights operational anymore on the back no markers at all anymore. But anyway use some hollowed out fog lights or u can also go the route that Meck suggested "although I'm not a fan of Honda's or they're parts" LOL But either would work just fine.

As long as you have your tail lights and your rear light I think you should be fine on the rear. Mine is missing the rear spoiler with the brake light in it so I only have the 2 outside markers on my rear and mine is a cavy. The only issue they had with mine was the front because I didn't have any front turn signals. or front markers. So I went and picked up a set of fog/driving lights. and then got 2 led bars for my turn signals. and it was all good.

i passed on my inspection with no turn signals in the bumper and i was also more worried bout the emissons, also when i had my inspection done i didnt even have my tails in, one was leaking so i took them out and i had no problems....i guess it all depends on how picky and how much of an a$$ they want to be...

if you just have reflectors in the rear than you dont need them

procrastination is like masturbation...its awesome till you realize that you just @!#$ yourself....
