Hello, I am new to the board. I was trying to find some info on a car and found this site.
I recently came across a 1990 Sunbird LE convertible 2.0 Turbo. Well, my uncle told me if I wanted it, to come get it or else he was gonna trash it.
It has 150k on the odo, but he said he put a new longblock in it about 20K miles ago, then the turbo went and parked it. That was 6 years ago.
I pulled the turbo off and sent it off to be rebuilt, it had a good amount of shaft play, and the turbine housing was cracked. So well see how that goes.
The exhaust manifold was cracked as well, but I found one at a local salvage yard today. I guess if I need more parts I can go back, theres a complete car there.
Basically, I just wanted to know what you guys think about these cars. How much boost do they run stock, power rating, reliability, history, etc.
