Was getting a code 42 and decided to get the ign. module tested....upon reinstall, found the + connector broken and then the little wire from a brown 1/2" x 3/8" diode or capacitor broke off flush. I cut back material so I could solder a new wire to it, epoxied over it for support but wire still keeps breaking.

Anyone know what that part is and if you can get it at parts store or dealer? Not even sure what to ask for. It's getting hard to find 1984 Cavy parts in the junkyard and but I'll keep searching. Anyone have a distributor/harness?

I just went through this with my 84 Sunbird.

Give me a pic of the whole distributor and I will look at Parts Galore when I go.
