Turbo wheel???

I was mounting up some old tires to use on the Cav I'm planning on getting to strip down. Happened across this stamped on the inside. Any ideas what this might be for? I was just curious.

If you was wondering I cut that old valve out and replaced it with new one.

I guess the Hydra-Matic division of GM made more than trannys! Makes sense from the aspect of making large forged pieces.

I guess so too John Mac!!

I meant to Label the Topic " Turbo-HydraMatic Wheels???" .... but it's been a long day.

Hope GM didn't go so far as to make special wheels for manual cars ans others for automatic ones......

In all the years I've messed around with autos, I've never come across that stamping. I'm definitely learning to never underestimate GM's abilities when it comes to the 1st gen J-Bodies!! From what all I've seen, it must have been a special time back then.

I would go with Hydra-Matic being the division, such as Delphi was for years GM's electronics division before GM spun it off into it's own company.
