85 Cavalier Type 10 only 8,400 Miles!
Saturday, April 21, 2012 12:17 PM
I figured this forum would appreciate this car the most. I have a 1985 Chevy Cavalier Type 10 for sale. Red, Automatic, 2.0 4 Cyl. Here's the kicker only 8,400 original miles, we even have the original factory window sticker! It was stored in a heated garage all its life. We are a dealership and just acquired the vehicle a few days ago. We have given it a full inspection and it runs and drives great. It is essentially a brand new 27 year old car. The price is $6,500 and we are located in Auburn, IN. It is currently getting detailed, so I will get pictures as soon as it is done. Send me a PM, e-mail or call me if interested 1-260-668-4913. Thanks

Price is a bit high (It's not quite a classic yet, around 4ish might work), but it sounds good.

Curious to see the pictures as well.

Glad to see there are still some original examples out there! Always love to see the photos!!

I noticed the drivers seat cushion seems to be flattened there on the outside edge quite a bit.

It is a real nice Cavalier , but I just gotta say I like Ron's - "Sunny" much more as far as Type 10's go. Hope I'm not a party pooper!! :-)

wow that looks clean, the seat being flattened will happen cause it is old. my 82 J2000 has the same issue, it has 78,000kms. my 86 sunbird has the same problem and it has 43,000 kms... looks great, price really sucks considering i spent $2800 on my mint 82 cimarron. That car will only be appraised at best $3000. my cimmer wasn't detailed for its appraisal...

Very nice clean looking car. I had the same color red 86 sedan (new) that I used as a company car back in 87 and it looked really nice all cleaned up. I do agree that the price range is probably in the low 4K neighborhood.

My take is car looks solid, and some seat wear is normal. While the car has all the right things price is a touch steep even for me.I guess the asking price is your choice but, real market demand on said car might be like 4k.Good luck with the sale and finding someone who will care for it as we do here on the jbody.I think I will stick with my car as it is in resto progress.

It's very cool, but I'm with the rest of the guys here - this car should sell in the mid 4k range tops.

Wow, it is a bit steep, but if it was a hatch and stick shift, even at this price it would be mine!!!

If it was an 83, hatch, and about $2500 cheaper I would be all over this.

That is a lot of money for this car.

Looks great, and amazingly original, but all nostalgia aside, $6500 buys you a lot of car right now in the marketplace.

just needs tint, lowered, and a nice set of wheels and it'd be epic.
