Where have you guys gone to get KYB shocks, struts etc for 2nd gens? I'm putting Eibachs on the bird this summer and I'm trying to find the best prices/service for this stuff.

I almost strickly use coximports.com for my automotive. bought my entire suspension from them my KYB gear ran me as follows:

KYB GR-2 Gas struts $56.52 apiece ($113.04 set)
KYB GR-2 Gas shocks $29.86 apiece ( $59.72 set)
KYB strut mounts $46.17 apiece ($92.34 set)

my strut mounts are on back order but the shocks and struts
were shipped as soon as ordered. the season for orders is here.

for KYB gear, you most likely will have to do what I did and order them thru a KYB retailer. www.coximports.com ships as soon as payment is received and takes no longer than a week to arrive. Yes, most auto places may carry KYB but the gear for our 2nd gens isn't ordered very often through them. if you don't use coximports, at least do some online searching. That's how I do it and always find lower prices the more I search.

If your Advance Auto parts told you they weren't available and couldn't be ordered, then you need to never go back there again. Adavnce is a KYB retailer and can order any KYB part number you give them. You can go through Tire Rack, like geeds said, or even Summit and Jegs. I've always used Summit, because they handle warranty stuff very well.

Order everything Arch listed, AND the upper shock mounts. If you swap in new shocks using old mounts, you will have alot of squeaks.

^^^ yeah the kids who work at our Advance are idiots lol. I once tried to get a muffler and a tailpipe for my jeep. Just the factory one nothing fancy. The guy like's errr u know u need a welder to get this together right? I was like ummm no I'm just going to use clamps like everyone else. He didn't even know what exhaust clamps were. I don't mind him not knowing but he was trying to act like he knew more than me and that really ticked me off. I searched online and cox and tirerack look cheaper than advance anyways. Thanks for the links fellas
