Black Beauty? Sleeping Dragon?

well, I've decided to go ahead and paint it while it's in the shop and right after the engine work is done. I had a particular custom paint job sketched out but for now there is a certain colour called Raven Black that is so glossy it's like a mirror finish on the body... and that's what I'm gonna slap on it, for now anyway. here's a shopped look at the sig pic. gotta thank my man marc, with MFX Studios who is a third gen at the org for the colour change. and for anyone wondering, I'm just now getting started with the engine work... there was a delay due fully inpart to complete idiots who can't pull a trailer. so what do my second gen guys think of the black? would it suite my beasty dragon?

There's a Camarro around here with that color paint job. Its fantastic, I don't like late model Camarros at all looks wise, but that color could make a gremlin look hot. Just make sure to keep it cared for, cause once that gloss goes out you've just got a black car, like everyone else.

haha... you don't know me very well

actually, the gloss is mixed into the paint with the Raven Black, that's one of the reasons it stands out from typical black... and I've got some hard enamel to use as well. But I take outstanding care of my J... I probably all-out clean it twice a week and may wax it 5 or 6 times a year opposed to the suggested once per six months. I'm obsessive compulsive

and I completely agree on all accounts with ya Wraith.

Yeah, that's better than me. I clean the interior once a week because I have hardcore Hay Fever, but I haven't washed mine in over a year... And I haven't waxed it since I got it almost two years ago

But then again, mine's still stock

your car would be nice with a small wing like rs in 93-94..!

thanks GR

mitch, I think it's about $214ish per gallon. so my paint job will cost just that (other than prep materials and some body filler). It's not as hard to keep clean as white or even the red for that matter, but if you've seen my concept it's black on top and red on bottom. and as you may have read, I'm obsessive compulsive so it'll stay clean. but this is the classiest ''black'' you can get. I think Cadillac (STS) uses it as a stock colour.

saku, I have a big wing... which I think will be going back on there... but this time for a real purpose due to the lovely power I'm droppin in. but I agree, a touring wing would look nice too.

thanks for the comments guys, I'm particular bout this.

Actually, most aftermarket wings are just for show. Most of them actually produce drag, which means less economy, and less get up and go. Unless you have an adjustable wing, and a nearby wind tunnel (+$$$), the wing is just for show.

You need to paint the rims black or something it looks off with white rims, or get black rims with the polished lip like I'm getting for mine

Black is nice. I'm wondering if the openings on the side of your rear bumper are angled or if its just the pic. Mine are level with the ground.
