blown gasket or cracked head

ok the car is a 94 Sunbird with a 2.0 liter brazilan engine. I bought the car for 100 bucks with the under standing that hte car uses coolant and may have a blow head gsaket or cracked head.

So here is my dilema, i don't realy fell like pulling the head and finding out that i may have a cracked block as well, the preivous owner had over heated at leat twice but int he past 2 years he religously kept cool in the radiator and drive the car.

Have any of you guys try to chemical seal one of these engines and have any luck?
I only need to drive it for about 6 to 10 months and I'm willing to try to just fix it good enough for now.

personaly I think the head gaskets in a bottle are junk but, I'm being cheap and lazy, alos the body is not in great shape so I see no point of realy fixing it.

so any ideas?

ummm sounds like you know what needs done and don't want to do it lol, The head gaskets blow all the time on these so that's probably what the problem is. You're right the head gasket sealant stuff is crap get a real gasket if you go through the trouble of pulling the head, be sure to get the head checked for any warpage and cracks. As far as the block cracking unless its leaking oil I doubt you have to worry about that but there's no way to know until the head is off. Not really sure what your question is, hope this helps
