I want some performance (header) for my 2nd gen. I plan on building my engine to its max. but I need to start somewhere besides the inside for I dont have the money not hte time right now. SO i was wondering who would have the best header for my car. This way I will have this product under way.

If you have a V6 no company makes them. You have to have them custom built. 2.2's can use the 3rd gen headers with some slight modifications.

yes jbp makes them. IMHO, to expensive and not the best design.

im building a set of headers for my 2.8l ironhead project in my 86 z24. they will be 1 3/8" primary diameter, and about 32" primary leangth. im going under the oilpan with the front header, so getting that long of a primary isjnt a problem. some people are concerned about ground clearance being that my car has a 2" drop, but im not. the valance on my car is 3 3/4" from the ground, and my oilpan is more than 5" up, so i figure 2" lower at the oilpan (at most, im going to tuck the tubes up real tight) isnt a big deal. the rear header isnt hard either, lots of room for it. secondaries (or collectors) will be 2 1/4" and 10" long. this design will be very good for low end torque, and still allow me to run the motor up to 7000+ rpm with no problems.

as for the rest of the exaust, im not sure yet. likely will run a duel 2 1/4" inlet, single 3" outlet cat, and 3" back to a flowmaster 60 series muffler. yes i realize that 3" is dam big for a v6, but with headers, your headers are doing the job of scavanging, not the entire exaust system. basicly past the collectors, you want to get the exaust gas out, and i figure 3" will be the best way to do it.

forget that.... they can keep 1500 bucks... I will bite my lips and foget about headers.... If I do anything I will pull my headers off and clean them up as much as possible and give them a decent coat....
