Have you been passed by any Dodge trucks lately? That might explain the "Gate Ajar" light. Better close that gate before all the horsepower gets out.

I used to get into arguments with my dad's '80s chrysler.

ding ding ding ding
"The door is a jar"
No, it's a door.
"The key is in the ignition."
No sh*t, who do you think put it there.
ding ding ding ding
"Engine oil pressure is low."
That's because I haven't started the engine yet.
"Please fasten safety belts"
I thought you wanted me to check the low oil pressure.
ding ding ding ding
"The door is a jar."
Yeah, I'm trying to find the other half of the seatbelt so you'll quit bitchin at me.
"The lights are on."
I'm still trying to find the @$#@#$ seatbelt!
ding ding ding ding
"Engine oil pressure is low."
Hello!!!
"The door is a jar."
Yeah, and the carpet is a polstery, too.
ding ding ding ding
"Please drive safely"
I'm about to drive you off a cliff!

It would take forever for the freakin thing to shut up. And every now and then, it would have to let you know it hadn't died.
ding ding ding ding
"All monitored systems are normal"
Bullsh^t! A Chrysler 2.5 still running after 150k miles and almost no maintenance is not normal.
"please drive safely"
Grrrrr!!!

Really, that light might turn on when you turn the key to "start" but it should not be lit when the key is in "run."

-->Slow

:O u got a door ajar light on ur j? mine dont! lol.....it sounds like what happend with my moms 1979 mustang, we replaced the dash cover for a non woodgrain one and on a sunny day the "shift" light would go on,,,her car was an automatic........it was because the sunlight was going through the vents and whatnot and going into the cluster somehow.....see if it comes on in the shade

i forgot the main part to that story...we had a 5 minute argument on the side of the highway the day we got my j on the road cause ithought it might have been the engine overheat light and my mom said she drove the car with the light on all the time(typical) ....i thought we would never make it to get my plates until we drove through some tunels and the light went off, thats when i got the hint
