Real cowl induction

One thing that really makes these cars unique is that they have a true from of air induction. But my question is is the cowl induction really as effective as it can be? The openings for air are not on the back of, but under the hood. I guess to keep it from getting clogged from stuff pouring or falling in. I am thinking about cutting the hood so that the back is open(the way it looks like it should be). Has anyone already tried this? Did it work? Does anyone think it will work?

the hood is restrictive... And your right it doesn't work like it should. If the backs were open it would work alot better.

Custom is the only way!

Put a nice scoop in the center of the hood, cut off the false opening, and put some mesh in it

My scoops are cut all out so you can see right down into where the air gets sucked into to, you will notice it gets pretty floppy but it sucks alot more air, and if you listen on mine you can here it suck it in like CAI!
