driver's door bent on bottom..

hey guys, my buddy put my door on for me (the old one was shot). it's in much better shape (and i also put a bit of work into it). anyway, the all the gaps around the door are fine, it's just the bottom that isn't fitting right. it's out like 3/8" from the rocker panel and i don't know why. maybe it was like that all along and i didnt notice it until it was on the car... i dont know.

anyways, is there any way at all to make it flush with the bottom of the car again?

yeah i'm a newb at all of this, once i get my bumpers and skirts on it's ready for paint.. although i have the door pieces to go over the door i do not think it will be possible to hide the fact that the bottom of the door is #$@! up. anyone have any ideas on how i can fix it?

thanks!
KMC (jbody newb, learnin as he goes) lol

aw well, i exaggerated... i usually do when i'm all outta gear about something- it's off by about 1/4" sticking outwards from the rocker panel. either way, there gotta be some way to get it back flush again, or i'll just have to work some magic with the door pieces.

close the door, and hit it with a rubber mallet along the bottom? ??

cool, gonna try that. turns out i have a bit of time on my hands, the guy who was going to paint it has to take the engine out of his car, he's gonna be delayed about 2 weeks

thanks Mysterio
