Welp it turns out my cam is worn pretty good.....is it possible to use a mpfi cam in the turbo model? if so, would there be any advantages, is there any good aftermarket ones that are compatible? anyone know what my options are.....
the mpfi cam might not have a spot for the dist drive since the mpfi cars used coil packs, maybe a <92 TBI cam would work
im sure its the same cam blank, i mean they didnt hange the cam tower at all, they just made a block off plate.
you can get a mellings replacment 2.0l turbo cam, head into lordco

Specs are the same for both cams as far as I can tell. I've switched 92-94 cams and heads to distributor by removing the block off plate. Not sure if all cams have the notches or if I just got lucky, though.
