i have been having this issue with my car not starting
i have full power when i go to crank it but it just wont even engage the starter to turn over
i was wondering if this was a common prob cause it starts when it damn well feels like it!
sometimes it starts and i will shut it off and then two seconds later i try to start it again and it wont do anything
and advice would be helpfull

oh and the car is an 01 cav 2.2l with 34K on it
so pretty annoying considering

check your battery connections and the connections at the starter. if those are good have your starter tested a few times, it may be going out.

its the starter or more likely the starter solenoid

check igition switch, IE make sure hot in purple solenoid wire when in crank position

if so then the solenoid is shot

new solenoid

not the starter

unless the solenoid makes a single and strong click every single time you put the key into the crank position

if not then solenoid or ignition switch

check wires first though, al of them, make sure all are tight clean and dry and not corroded

it doesnt take much corrosion to mess things up

at all
