any engine you drop in other than the stock N/A 4 cyl is going to require a lot of work, ie: new motor mounts, new tranny, complete engine bay wiring harness and a bunch of other small things that are diffrent.

If your interested in a v6 your best option is a 2000+ 3100 or 3400, more on the engine at 60degreev6.com and more info on the swap at domesticcrew.com, there is a link to an instal guide at the top of the page.

As for wiring, it isnt to bad if you have a parts car with the same dash, just unplug the engine bay harness from the firewall plug on the drivers side. Half this plug will be engine stuff the other half lights and such, leave the part for the lights alone. On the other side of the car the harness goes inside the car through a hole and then its epoxied over, chip away all the epoxy until you can pull the harness through the hole. On the end of that harness that runs inside the car on the passenger side is the ECM, unplug the ECM, and two other plugs that go behind the dash and then the entire engine bay harness can be removed from the car.
So in short you need the entire engine bay harness, plus that little extention piece that goes into the passenger side firewall to the ECM and the ECM itself obviously and you'll be all set.

Its notthing difficult, just time consuming.
