Anybody had an issue where the idle runs to high? I replaced the IAC and the scans still show that the IAC is the problem. What else should I consider between the computer and the IAC?

I just finished rebuilding the TBI & put a new EGR on my 89 Sunbird. Started up to check it out & had extremely high idle. When I was rebuilding the TBI, the o-ring that came in the kit was thicker than the original & IAC did not look like it seated correctly but I used it anyway-MISTAKE. After digging through the garbage can to find the original o-ring & installing it on the IAC, idle is back to normal. So you may check the IAC to see if it is seating against the TBI flush.
