Another question. What did you use for flywheel bolts?
The ones I got from rock auto are not even close!

I just used the ones that came with the donor engine

Looks like a flexplate bolt on the left.
It is. But rock auto listed the flex plate and the flywheel as the same thread. The overall length was different but that's it.
Hey whats up guys,
Car has been running great, got a decent tune made, still not super aggressive. Running about 15 psi.
Built an ac system from scratch, all custom made, minus the evaporator core. What a nightmare. Anyways, ill post pics of that, and also put an msd box in and wired up a two step with a couple turn dial controls inside I made.
Other than that just been driving it. Need to get the bumper back on.
Untill I get progress pics, I'll leave you guys with this fire breathing teaser pic.

Cars been doing good.
Only issue I had was the weather got warm and i went to turn the ac on and it did not work.
Come to find out the head from the downpipe destroyed my ac connector wiring.
So i finally decided to do my exhaust build. I dont have all the pics but its 2.5 manderal all the way from turbo to axle then split out to duals with rectangle tips out the bumper cover. As for now I have no mufflers at all.
Plan is to Y the downpipe off so I can still have my fender exit exhaust on a cutout. Im currently waiting for a plate to be machined as my bumper got burnt.
Also got a new hood and fender as the previous ones were all bent up. Found a Z hood!

Also just installed a remote start, keyless entry and alarm. I LOVE IT!

Its all displayed on my in dash tablet.
As for updates. All was well untill last weekend.
The getrag is letting go. I cant get the shifter to go into 3rd or 4th.
Have to shift 1 2 5
Im not real sure what the fate of the turbochicken will be now 😥

Dont worry guys. Got another transmission built and put together, also threw in a spec clutch. Cars been living again!

It's great to see someone still tackling this great engine.
I am going to be starting a similar project putting the C20GET from my 90 sunbird GT into my 91 Z24. Any chance you could PM me or post some part numbers and info from your build, also really interested in any info you have on your tuning stuff and setup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So after pulling head, long story short, the engine is good! its actually in the trans! (yeah thats odd I know) Ill tell the full story after I finish getting everything apart in the next couple days.

Forgot the extended trans vent tube, Bee? Glad its not as bad as you thought and
you might consider a 3" lift on that bad boy for flooded crossings .............................
