2.2 chip

I think I have to replace the chip or computer in my 95 2.2...

The chip has a code of BJBZ.

If a 94 2.2 chip has a different code will it still work or do I have to change the computer too?

I believe a 94 and older is OBD1 where as 95+ is OBDII.
So I'd say no.

Two totally different OBD systems. 94 is I, and 95 is II. As stated, it won't work.

96 was the cutoff year ..... so some of the 95 cars were already getting switched to obd2 (depending on the build month)
even more confusing was the obd 1.5 (the transition between obd1 and obd2 kinda a half way point )

so depending on when the car (or more importiantly when the comp was built) it may work but the chances are slim and none

hope this helps (please ignore the spelling errors)
