I have a 92 3.1 cavy and was wondering if there is a newer starter that works well. Like a factory mini starter?
I did a search but came up with nothing. I know its been done but I just don't know how to word it i guess..

Yup. Later model 2200 and 3400 starters will fit. J bodies 1998+, Impalas, Aleros, etc. It's a gear reduction starter.. Weighs about 50% of the stock 3.1 starter.
