Front anti-sway bar
Thursday, May 05, 2011 10:17 AM
My '99 Cavalier coupe appears to have come from the factory with no front sway bar and there aren't even any mounting holes in the control arms to bolt on the front sway bar. Was it only Z24s that had front anti-sway bars? If I wanted to add a front sway abr would I have to change out my lower control arms for those on a sway bar-equipped cars?

my guess would be to get a set of control arms and a sway bar from a z24 of the same year and see if the sway bar will fit with those on your cavvy. if all else fails ask a gm mechanic.

Current control arms will have holes for the endlinks and subframe also has provisions for a sway bar.

mine didnt come with one either but the holes are there, the pass side has a bolt in it holding one of the power steering lines down and the other one was sooooooo rusted i had to tap the threads before the bolt would go in.
