i think there should be $5 added at least to the cost for all the running around to try to make this happen. I know most on the list are cheap j owners, but i think we should support the people who are busting hump to make our outdated economy cars join the 20th century and have rear disc....

although the new vw's moved back to drum and beams in back iirc...

I'm glad to see the jbody community is getting what they deserve.

Also...update
1500 Miles on the setup and still working like a charm, even fooled the local GM dealership because it looked so stock. Car is now lowered 1.8 inches and has reduced weight transfer which enhances braking even more.

Thats going to be tough. I'd love to run wilwood dynalite billet calipers but you need about a 1/2 wheel spacer to run them with the stock wheels.

I won't accept any payments in advance I want to be able to ship on payment. Don't want to have some one pay and then have them wait.

In the next 2 or 3 weeks and I will be starting the official Group Purchase.

I will most likely NOT be doing a full kit.

The parts for the kit (calipers, rotors, pads, caliper bolts) are readily available and you could get them cheaper from the parts store or junkyard.

BUT if you really don't want to or can't piece together your own kit I MAY consider putting something together for you, but remember the cost would be more then what you could get the parts for yourself.

What about SS brake line from the metal pipe to the caliper instead of the rubber one? Could that be done?

I do believe the Jbody SS lines will work in place of it.

I thought you used s-series brake lines, which they do make stainless.

But right now we are running the stock rubber line.

Hmm.
Would anyone know if the LS Saturn (mid-size) uses the same brake line?
Would anyone know if XRP be offering something custom for this setup?

No Lx00 saturns are opels and hardly share anything with real saturns.

My very rough brake calcs say that all that will do will make the rear wheels lock and wont increase braking rate. But though were real damn rough. Like I took the racecar brake calc sheet I had and put in our weight and a wheel base and cg that made sense. It was calculated using 1.5g of decel which we wouldnt see.

Oh I'm a bit aware that the LS-x were Opel Vectras.
But you'll be hardpressed to know there are Saturn parts in there too (GM parts bin). Just looking for real concrete adventurers here who ventured out in the junk yards and tested out the fitment. I would have done it myself, but finding both at the same time doesn't come to often.

Does any one have any insight on the Saturn LS and XRP company?

I could design you a bracket to support 2 calipers, but its gonna cost you a bit, I could prolly get u in a set for around $250-$300
