You could always weld thr bracket to the axle if you are concerned about the bolts holding the weight. If you did that you would be taking the stress off the bolts.

1. Has anyone found a place to get blank rotors and in order to drill to the proper 5x100?

Working on that still but so far nothing.

2. Does any one here have a pic of Mr. Jeffie's spacers 3/8'' & 1/2'' on standard GM's rim to compare on the looks?

Hunt P&M there are a few people with photos of both sizes with before and after

3. What will be included with the brackets?

2x Brackets (Powder Coated), 8x bolts (55mm long, blue coated for corrosion resistance, 10.9 or better) Bolts- Rockwell Hardness of C38

4. What is the material of the bracket made of?

Cold Roll 1018 steel

5. Some thing brought my attention from the pics of the brackets. The wheel hub has centric ring that goes on and sits the axle. When putting spacers/bracket the ring diminishes and does the load is then put solely on the studs?

The stepped ring on the back of the hub is solely for centering purposes. A lot of time manufacturers do this for ease of install. The ring on the back does nothing for strength. GM's own camber shims prevent the ring from sitting in the axle bore.

The bolts them self are rated at 12.9 and 176,000 tensile strength. The the only thing that happens when adding this spacer is the directional force is changed minimal. With a 12.9 bolt in place this weeds out any concern for failure.

Here-here Mr. Jeffie! TY for the response.
Could there be an option for SS bolts? Or would the strength not be as high as the steel ones?

Can't use stainless, stainless has no structural integrity in this app. Not saying they wouldn't work, but there is a high chance of failure. So no.

I may have missed something in 14 pages, but is there not an off the shelf rotor we can use for this swap?

Nope nothing off the shelf was workable. Custom drilled rotors were the only option or re-drilling the saturn rotors.

re-drilling Saturn ones seems like the cheapest option so far.

anyone find any new rear calipers and brackets? looking online i couldnt other then the oreilly's listed but them being different brands is kind of weird. I talked to my Napa rep today and he did some digging and found them new through napa at $70 a side for caliper and bracket. The downfall was they have a $90 core charge lol, i was then told they didn't necessarily have to be those calipers i'm returning but we'll see lol
so just curious if anyone had found anything

Rock Auto has calipers for 70 each no core and brackets 25 each no core. Also just found Centric has a "Posi-quiet" loaded calipers for 82 each no core. It looks like comes with about everything you need minus the rubber hose. They also have options for drilled/slotted rotors from Centric for those interested.

Here's another good source, they sell centric rotors and such also......

R1Concpets- 1993 Saturn S series Brake Components

If your worried about the cheaper price and such, I wouldn't be, I've bought from them before and am currently running their premium slotted rotors (centric) on the front of the cavy, through their ebay store before.
Good cheap slotted rotor, help up very nice over the winter in montana and into summer, I drive hard and they have taken a good beating and held up wonderfully. I liked them enough and the price, that I bought another set that's crossed drilled and slotted in a box to pair with some Hawk pads for the wife's 02 Z24 once I get it running and on the road again.

Just saying.. Rock Auto has way better pricing on the exact same loaded caliper from R1...

How exactly are we re-drilling them? I'm trying to model it up so I can CNC it but ahh I remembered you cant re-drill a 4x100 with a 5x100 unless its ok to have a hole over lap.

I believe (from what I saw in the first post pictures) you have one of the 5 holes in line with one of the original 4 if you can follow that.. then the other 4 new holes miss the old 4, one is very close to overlapping but the others have a fair distance between them I think. what CNC program are you using? I wish I had access to a CNC mill big enough for that but sadly not. I will be using vertical mill by measurments..

I just used a drill press and a die grinder to do touch up work. Like I told jeffie, it took me less than 10 minutes to do both.

and to those curious about rotors off other applications, I spent around $300 buying rotors that didn't fit, so redrilling or custom is the only route we can take. And my car uas been doing great with around 2500 miles running this setup.

As designer of the brackets I had made, and the first to do this, I say anyone on the fence about hopping on, DO IT. You won't look back from drums.

this will most likely be my last update in this thread unless someone has a question for me specifically.
