I need to get my rotors cut and change my brake pads for the 1st time since I got my Cavi. What socket size do I need to remove the spindle nut ?? Thanks for any help.

Removing that nut wont help you remove the rotor and caliper. There are 2 allen/trox head bolts on the backside of the caliper.

its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa

What he said ^^^ and your getting the rotors cut? you mean get them turned? I'd just replace them, Its really not much more, and then you'd probably get a warranty with them for any future problems.

Un do the caliper and lift it up and the rotor pulls right out. Bring it to the salvage yard to make up a bit of the 5 dollar price difference between new and turned rotors.

Yes I meant turned. Sorry for the retard question, I'm used to old school spindle and rotor setups with a castle nut / cotter pin assembly. Thanks for the advice, I checked with Napa and they have a new set for $ 25.00 each new, and the cheapest place that will turn them is $ 20.00 each! I'll just go with new. Thanks again!!

Not on all axles. Most use a 30mm.

I personally will never have a rotor turned. Not worth it. The Price difference is very minimal.

Ive seen after having them turned that they "warp" faster and need to be replaced at that point any way.

Doesn't matter what car, If I do the brakes, the rotors are being replaced.
