Wow... 1 that isnt doing anything but making it awkward to use the trunk and damn thats a lot of spatter.

You can get one for $30 or you can weld anything sturdy enough in between two brackets to make a decent one, no need for a hackjob like that...

Is this a joke?

1- You do realize that 1" square tube would have both looked and worked better?
2- You used a Miller 125? Is this guy really a "master fabricator"?
3- Spring steel? Really?

This is why the sport compact crowd gets such a bad rap. Crap like this shows up at meets and events, breaks, causes damage, and then everyone goes home talking about "the guy whose car threw parts at the crowd".

I really just can't figure out what to say to this.....
