My factory 14s would not clear. The face hits the caliper.

Ill get the spare on guys. As long as the weather holds Ill try it tomorrow morning. Im free of work for a few days since hours got cut.

Brain, any chance of clearancing the caliper? or are we talking like 1/4" or so?

Basically I couldnt get the steelie to center on the hub because of the caliper. I dont think theres ay way without a bunch of spacing. The banjo is like an 1/8 in from the barrel on the Fiero 15s I had. I really couldnt check clearance on the 14s because I couldnt hold the wheel and get behind it at the same time.

No problem at all. I wish the redesign didn't take this long. I'm hoping to have the prototype by the beginning of the week to mock up on my axle.

I can do 3/4 if you want. Thicker is easier. Thinner takes more work.

The swap is similar to Jeffie's, but no redrilling is required of the rotors, and the rotors are slightly larger (10.6")

Taking myself off for now too. I may or may not have funds when the GP happens, don't want to commit to it just in case I don't.

Im keeping myself on the list, however with this unsure timing I may or may not have the cash at the time of the GP.

OK guys, quick update. I'm picking up the prototype of the new design this evening after work. I'll try to get it all mounted and mocked up over the next day or so, time permitting, and post up pics.

Sorry, had a slight adjustment that needed to be made to the design. It didn't quite fit over the plate, and the recessed portion needs to be cut a little wider. I wanted it to be as tight as possible to disperse some of the braking force, but it also has to fit everyone's axle without a bunch of grinding. I need to get to the shop and have him clearance it a bit more. Hopefully tomorrow or Thursday I'll be able to have it done.

OK, so here's a quick teaser update. I got the mods done to the program and everything lines up right. This weekend I'll pick up another rotor and caliper and mount everything up. For now here are a couple of pics to hold you over.

This will space then out 3/8". If anyone wants the original 5/8" spacing, no problem at all.

I'll have the final pricing posted up this weekend as well. Stay tuned!

^ slacker

Mr. quick- good deal, thanks for the pics, those look lovely, lol.

OK, here's the pricing for you guys:

All prices are shipped to the continental US:

3/8" spacing: $170
5/8" spacing (not recessed): $150

Included in the kit is the adapters and grade 10.9 zinc plated hardware.
You will still need to purchase calipers, rotors, and brakelines.

If you need the e-brake bracket, those are $20 for the pair, no shipping necessary if ordered with the kit as they will go in the same box.

The adapters are 6061 billet, anodized aluminum
The e-brake bracket is 3/16" mild steel, powdercoated, with the grade 10.9 zinc plated bolt

Any questions, let me know. I'll pick up the parts and get the prototype mounted this weekend and post up the pics.

Hey Shawn, any chance of getting a set of 5/8" hub spacers made as well with a set of these? I currently have 1.25" wheel spacers, so to keep that spacing with your brackets I'd need to bump them back out more.

For any 2nd gen owners interested, I would highly suggest getting the thinner 3/8" brackets. Using the Club Jeffie brackets with 17x7" wheels with a +45 offset on 215/45R17 tires(fairly conservative), the tires rub on the fenders over any bump. The fenders will need to be cut, or rolled even with the smaller spacing.

That should be no problem. I'll get the pricing on that for you.
