You wont break those auto-xing. Wheel hop the crazy and hitting a ton of big potholes really fast would be the way to test them. Maybe take it for an off roading adventure.

Hell i would buy a cheap 3rd gen if you gave me a set and i would beat the pis out of the car inorder to really test them

you sure about that? so the body rolling and the control arms taking that weight transfer and body angle transfer wont be stressed when taking a slalom? unless your control arms stay parallel to the body of the car the whole time and the car doesnt sway with weight transfer and wear on all the bushings... then I need whatever you have done to your car done to mine...
im talking about testing every weld, the welds that hold the front bushing in the frame, to the rest of it, testing the tubing, the welds on the gussets. everything. potholes and wheel hop isnt the only stress you will get. i take on and off ramps and put plenty of stress on stockers.
after RK's debacle and considering how integral of a part the control arm is.... i woudlnt want one to break on the interstate... im trusting my whole car to a $450-550 part...
shock loading from bumps will be much greater than the loading from weight transfer.

as far as i remember the rk sport arms were fine for racing but it was the street driving that destroyed them....
im just curious about the "customer" testing this setup....is it a ORG member? someone we can interact with ? any pics of him doing the install ?

I do have a daily drive cavy that I drive about 80 miles round trip. it wouldn't bother me to trust that car with a 450 dollar part
you will still have plenty of stress from racing your car to the max through auto x... more stress than you would think...
autoX will test the materials, pothole hell will test the construction
I live in PA, I can handle pothole testing.
i could test them on the road over here!!! LOL this is how the road is on here.... sadly

also mark, i have a vert i could test those puppies on any road. ill even send them back for analysis afterwards. verts have more weight and flex after all

Update: Arms are still functioning very well. A few minor changes will be made such as thickness of rear bushing and holes for the ABS clips. We will continue to monitor these for another couple days and try and get some serious abuse on them to insure there durability.

After talking with a suspension guru i know. he mentioned to me he tried spherical bearings back there before and had to do away with them because the screws would pull out of the case. not saying yours will, but its some insight atleast to think on and maybe figure something out....
I can assure you they wont pull out. I have had a similar design on the shop ION for 1 year and not one issue at all. We will look into this to though to be on the safe side. Do you have pics or info on his design so we can see it?
