RK Sport Front and Rear sway bar questions?
Monday, June 06, 2016 6:34 PM
just curious if anyone knows the size of this bar? the product numbers were sorta rusted off . when I measure it looks like 25- 25.5 ? I bought 24mm bushings and there is a gap left on the new bushings! and where can we order bigger then 24 mm ones that just bolt in the stock brackets? I cant seem to find them anywhere .

I took some pics of the part number before I grinded bar down and re shot it with new red paint ! and here are some pics of it compared to the factory z24 front sway bar! I didn't take any of the rear bar! the bushings seems tight still . just put new end links on! used moog stock front ones minus the spacer and it fits nice .

my car is a 2001 z24 manual

there aren't alot of people visiting the forums these days.

the bar is like 25.4mm or 1". You can buy a set of generic prothane/energy suspension/etc bushings in the proper bar size and grind down the ribs to make them fit in the stock brackets or you might be able to contact addco or eibach and see if you can purchase just the bushings from them. (addco for sure is 1" front, not sure about Eibach)

Hope this helps.

thanks and ya I was going to try something like that and I measured and thought it was 25.4 or 1 inch too! and I thought of grinding down the one side to slide into that notch on the frame! I ended up using the old ones as they were still pretty tight! thanks for the info though .
