Event, if that pic is fully lowered, where do you usually leave your coilovers set at? And how much lower is your car in that pic than stock? 4" (which seems like a lot to me) ?
the rksport coils dont allow 4 inches of lowering. 3.5 is the max, they made em so that ride quality is still a factor unlike some of the ebay kits.

granted its an innacurate measurement, i can fit 2.5 fingers up front and well over 3 in the rear. no real need to slamm a car as much as physically allowed with coils here in baltimore.

for that picture, i lowered it right there, and raised them right back up the same hour... i dont wory much about wheel gap, i worry more about control and performance moreso, and around here you need some travel to get either... one place i would NOT root for the bash to be is DC or Baltimore... cause out of sympathy for alot, it would be a hell of a weekend
This is probly a stupid question but does the $1200 rk sport kit come with front and rear sets... or do I have to come up with a setup to do my back end also.

Event....im sure u already answered this one way or another.... but..

What is the safest drop to be riding on with that kit ??

and by safest i mean longest life out of the struts....or is it ok to ride on any height ? I dont think id need my car lowered as much as u had in those pics
honeslty the more i have learned about cars, only to where the arms are parrallel is where i would go, especially on a daily driver.

usually on a cavalier thats about 1.5 inches from stock height on a j-body...

i tried the 2 inches and all, but for a major city, that def wasnt working.

right now thats what i have it at , 1.5 inches...

no matter how much we may pay for something it can always be abused... i just dont wannt take much chance with 1200$ yet... plus for autox thats all i really need.
On RKsports site they say that the pro street coilovers are for the 2.2l...won't they also fit the z24 2.4l. I don't believe the engine size would matter hardly. I know this sounds like a n00b question but i just want to make sure before i buy them.

suspension is NOT engine specific.... its teh same chassis from 95-04 meaning it fits everything in those years.
its in the FAQ, so its already kind of one already.... its just most people dont bother to read it...

its the link in the FAQ page 1 right after the coilovers

Ok thax Event, ive been trying to decide to use springs or coilovers and i think i'll just save up more and get coils. either Ground Control or RKSport with Koni Yellows, Hows That Sound For Coil/Strut Combo? Also Event a disadvange for having air ride is the space it takes up But i drive this in the winter to so i think coils would be the best way becuz i can raise back up for winter driving when i use my 16s after i get my 18s. This post helped alot thax again
no prob man. your choices are all cool. they wont leave you stranded or anything and should come with all parts needed to fit right...

and yeah air ride has a few downsides, especially since most tracks will not let you race with em...

but yea...

all cool man

look in this months issue of HCI magazine for a full step by step install for the Rk Sport coil overs (not pro streets). wasnt sure if it had been posted yet.

it has, but good either way

it was in snipers posts... its a good reference for the 2000+ strut mount cars...
oh those were the 2000+ strut mount! think i can use there way of altering the mount with my air struts, reason i ask is because my rubber bushings in the top of the mount are starting to push through.

if they are 2000, and you are going to springs... then you need the lower half of the two piece strut mount, which the lower half serves as the spring seat....

is that what you mean?
no i mean im keeping the bags, i was just wondering if i cound do the mod to the mount and prevent those rubber bushings from pushing through.
