Will Heated Springs(stock) Give a smooth ride and last a while ? or how about cut ? whats the best of the two ? ?

Re: Heated Springs

None...it's the worst thing to do...

If you actually care about your suspension and ride quality, go buy a set of real lowering springs...
Re: Heated Springs

Yeah, don't do either of these things. They won't hold up.

That's something the old low-rider guys used to do but they had much bigger springs on them so it didn't hurt so much to do.

Get a proper set of lowering springs or keep the car stock.

Heated Springs. Can mess up the metal and can make them brittle causing them to snap. Many horror stories of being on the highway and heat spring breaking.

Cut springs. Change the spring rate of the entire spring and makes them more bouncy than regular lowering springs.
Like it's been said before, you don't want to heat springs and you don't want to cut them. They arn't meant for that.
Please don't try to give advice when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Nobody cares how it feels days after you've done this. The fact is that you've now weakened your springs and they could snap at any time, possibly resulting in a serious crash.

I hope nobody reads this and thinks this is something acceptable to do. Idiots like you tend to see this sort of thing and, despite everyone telling them not to do it, go ahead and do it anyway.

They get what they deserve... but I sincerely hope that nobody else is hurt in the process.

" ohh dont come crying back when the crack" what ever the only people that they crack on are the idiots that drive fast on a bumpy a$$ road.. and cmon who drives fast on a lowered.. car ? but like i said it been a week with my heated springs and they are great !!! my opionion ..

You have absolutely no clue, nor so you seem to have any interest in doing what's right.

For anyone reading this and wondering about it the answers are this..

Money spent on a proper suspension is not wasted.

Plenty of people drive fast on bumpy roads. I do all the time because my suspension ensures that my tires stay in contact with that road and keep me safely in control.

Who drives fast in a lowered car? Many people lower their cars for the performance aspects so of course they drive fast!

You've obviously only lowered yours so that it will look lower and hopefully get you laid or something. You've degraded the performance and potentially made it into a danger to everyone on the roads.

You think you've improved your ride by making it look lower though in reality you've just done damage to it.

Nobody who knows anything about cars will be impressed. But good luck with getting laid.

NOW WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?

I can say that i am lowered right and I drive fast on any road I choose, smooth as silk and sticking to corners like there was glue on 'em.

This thread is great, I don't know what makes you more of a retard... the fact that you heated the springs, or the fact that happy with the ride.

I've been in an 04 cavi with heated springs thats sits lower then my car (my car on Rksport Prostreet coilovers) and you hit youe head off the roof of the car going down the higway if you don't buckle up and tighten the belt as much as possible to hold yourself down. You have to recline the seat because sitting up hurts your neck after about 10 minuets. So mister spring heater, I'm gonng laugh at you when you hit a bump driving around a highway on ramp and your whole car bounces itself into the gaurd rail.... I will laugh my ass off and then come piss on you while your in the hospitol have a nice day asshat
