Caprice Shocks in a 93 Cavalier

Would 93 Chevy Caprice shocks fit in the back of a 93 cavalier? I work and NAPA and looked at the pics of each on the computer and they look identical, but i'm wondering if any mechanics or just guys who have worked on both would know? And does my car have shock or stuts in the rear because the computer also gives listings for both. My car is a 93 RS 3.1L 2 door

thanks,
Jeff

Since a caprice is a much heavier car, I'd expect it to use stiffer dampers to control the springs on them. With that in mind, if they physically fit, they might be a good match for the Prokit springs that are available.

On the other hand, since it's a much bigger car it may also have more strut travel so again, even if they physically fit, you may be using them in a range they were never designed for so you may bottom out a lot or blow them in little time.

Why are you interested in this? Did you get some for free or something?

they'll only fit if you put the caprice emblem on your trunk.
