K Brace install
Friday, March 25, 2005 6:35 PM
I have a K brace (sub frame brace from High Rev) that I have not installed yet. I have been concerned about the bolt holes in the frame "wallering" out. (LOL is "wallering" a word?) Would it be useful to weld stud brackets to the sub frame? The brackets would have studs attached for bolting the brace up. Yeah, the sub frame brace itself would need some sort of reinforcement to keep those holes from "wallering" too.

I don't want to weld the brace in Permanently.

Any ideas?

Rob

Hmmmm.... Weld Steel sleeves into the brace. I might try that. Thanks...

"Wallering"... Kinda showing my Redneck Roots... LOL Thanks for the correction.

You should post some pics of the install, as I'm curious how this brace will fit as I've already got holes drilled for a past subframe brace.
