All those with Easystreet Air....
Monday, March 28, 2005 8:05 AM
What's up guys...Long time no post. A while back there were some posts about our struts rattling. (Patcub still hates me ) Anyway, we developed a new upper mount that has cured the problem for those with older kits. You guys have been the most loyal customer base we have! I feel like I had to do something for you guys. Call or e-mail me and I will Send you the upgrade at no charge. You just pay for shipping. You will have to drill your upper mount out from 1/2"-1" to allow the new isolator bushing to be installed.

BTW disregard this post if you have purchased your kit in the last month or so.

Thanks again for all of your support!

I spoke with Jim... he is sending them out to me. Real good guy. He told me that I would have to remove some of the previous bushings etc, this making the mount work with my setup. Now, this will lower the car some... does that mean I won't be able to lift up as high / will I have to ride lower for optimum ride quality? Hrmm... I wonder if I could fab a mount to bridge that gap... cause I like the fact that I can go high right now... I sit on the tires at 25 psi now anyway... so I dont care to go lower... Any advise on thicker mounts people or am I not understanding how this will work correctly?

The change will be too small to notice... I wouldn't worry about it until you have it installed.

Will this throw the alignment off by doing the rears only?

I was just thinking about that today. I had to buy a new bit set just to get holes big enough for my 1/2" line.

I may just give the mounts to my friend who works at a machine shop. Have him drill them out one day.

I had to buy a whole new drill to fit a 1inch bit in it for my strobe lights, so I'm in luck here.

Well you live to damn far away for me to borrow yours.

Pahtcub have you had your bags off this whole time waiting for a fix or have you just been putting up with it?

I've had the cav in storage at my mom's and have been driving my truck, I knew that if I ignored the problem it would just go away somehow or another:-)

Well this came at a great time for me. I never realy cared about the front mount problems because I was more worried about my rear set up bouncing all over the road because of not having struts. Well Ive got struts now and the rear rides great. ANd now the front noises are bugging the hell out of me.

Just got mine today, the look good, but the point at which I thought they were hitting isn't covered, but we'll have to see, my car's going in for electrical work tommorow night so these will have to wait.
