My rear bags update

Well it only took me ONE FREAKIN YEAR but I finaly put some struts in the rear with my bags. Been a year with no damping and its bouncy as hell.

All I did was put in some stock rear struts that are in good condition. No bumpstops or anython them. JUst the strut and the mount. THe ride is great. The spring rate on air bags is not near as high as regular springs so they are working great. Actualy they feel like they are too stiff for these bags.

THe only drawback is that the car dosnt drop as low as it used to. But its not much. About an inch higher. ANd its only about 1/2" higher than the front since it used to drop lower than the front.

Personaly I like the look when its down being a 1/2" higher than the front. I like the raked look. I hate when cars squat out back.

I was worried about bottoming out the struts. But I figured out the shaft will drop down so far that its only like a 1/4" out of the strut body when the top mount is off. SO when its bolted up to the upper mount at least 2" of the shaft is inside the mount meaning that even when fully compressed on the car the shaft is far from bottoming out.

I know some of you will talk your crap and say im stupid. BUt I dont care sence they wont bottom out and they are stiff enough to easily control the ride on these bags. THey are working great for the time being and I will continue to run them to see how long they will last. I came across the struts for free anyway. SO its not like im out any money.

ANywho. how bout some pics.

Looks bad ass ESB. I agree that it looks better with a slightly more even look than just the rear squatting.

dayum... after doing all that hammering work to gain 1/4", now you have added 1/2" for the sake of ride quality??????? makes sense...

I'm just playin, car's still looking good...
